You agree to pay them in advance and that backupmyblog doesn’t actually have to provide relaible backups, doesn’t actually have to perform backups, isn’t responsible for losing all backups, and will not compensate you in any way for any kind of failure.
Wow… that’s about as useful as not backing up a all… maybe slightly more useful.. possibly, but then maybe not.
This is not for flavor hosted blogs. This is for flavors you’ve installed on your own host. Now, this is where the true frivolity sets in. If you’re hosting it yourself you can just as easily CRON DB backups yourself FOR FREE, either locally or offsite… or even to your office/house FTP.
And my blogger account already has similar functionality built in (absent from wordpress.com):
